Rava cake is really easy to make at home, does not require any special equipment or expertise, which makes it a perfect beginner's cake. This is a basic eggless cake recipe that uses rava/semolina, a little flour, leavening agents, dahi (yogurt) and milk. For the fat component, you can choose to add butter, oil or ghee. Use fresh dahi for this recipe, as the sourness of the dahi can ruin the taste of this cake.

Steps to make Fine Suji (rava) fruit cake:
  1. Add all the ingredients (suji, mango, oil, sugar, yoghurt)in a mixer jar and blend all together and make a smooth paste
  2. Pour in a bowl and add Baking powder or Baking soda and milk mix well
  3. Mix the tutti fruity and nuts
  4. Oil greased mould and baking paper inside, pour the batter, spread some tutti fruity and almonds
  5. Bake it in 180°pre-heated for 35 to 40 minutes
  6. Cake is ready, cool completely, remove from the mould and enjoy 😋

For the fat component, you can choose to add butter, oil or ghee. Use fresh dahi for this recipe, as the sourness of the dahi can ruin the taste of this cake. If you have built in oven the both lower and upper coils should be on. Insert a tooth pick at the center of the cake. Add the fine chiroti rava and mix it well with a spatula.
