  1. Cut your chicken into pieces and put them in a bowl
  2. Add your yoghurt,cumin,paprika,chilli,garam masala,ginger and mix together with the chicken.marinate for one hour
  3. Heat your pan with oil and add your chicken…cook until they turn brown
  4. Remove the chicken and put it aside
  5. Heat the same pan and add onions,garlic and ginger paste. Cook until golden brown.
  6. Add tomato paste,chilli and salt to taste
  7. When it starts to stick add your cream or yoghurt and stir until if forms a thick paste.
  8. Add your chicken and cook for a minute then serve

Think of this as chicken tikka masala biryani! I know it sounds different but trust me, every bite is so, so flavorful! Chicken tikka masala is a dish of chunks of roasted marinated chicken (chicken tikka) in a spiced curry. The curry is usually creamy and orange-coloured. I like extra sauce to soak my jasmine rice, so next time I will either add less chicken or more cream and tomato sauce.
