How to Prepare Award-winning Focaccia

Hey everyone, I hope you are having an incredible day today. Today, we’re going to prepare a special dish, focaccia. It is one of my favorites food recipes. This time, I will make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Combine the warm water, yeast and sugar in a small bowl. In the bowl of a mixer fitted. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil and black pepper. Mix in the vegetable oil and water.

Focaccia is one of the most popular of current trending foods on earth. It’s easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions every day. Focaccia is something which I’ve loved my whole life. They’re nice and they look fantastic.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook focaccia using 7 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Focaccia:
  1. Take 7 g dried yeast
  2. Prepare 300 ml warm water
  3. Prepare 500 g strong white bread flour
  4. Take 1.5 tspn salt
  5. Prepare 1 tspn sugar
  6. Take 15 ml olive oil
  7. Take Flour for dusting

The word focaccia (pronounced "foh-KA-cha") has Latin origin. Focus - means fire and Panis focacius literally means "a flatbread baked in the coals". Often, with the word focaccia people refer to all its possible variants. However, this term mainly refers to the classic Focaccia Genoese.

Steps to make Focaccia:
  1. In a large bowl mix everything together then gradually add the water and mix. Then knead first 10 mins until dough becomes smooth and elastic. Prove somewhere warm for an hour or so (I put on top of my tumble dryer). Then tip it out and divide in two then roll both out using flour to dust. Put it on a baking tray lined with greaseproof then add your toppings.
  2. I used the above mix and added my fav toppings. Drizzle with olive oil then put into a warm oven (180 fan) for nearly 15 mins until golden. They should rise slightly like my pic

Often, with the word focaccia people refer to all its possible variants. However, this term mainly refers to the classic Focaccia Genoese. It's about Β½ inch thick, a little chewy but still soft inside with a delicious olive oil. Focaccia is our favorite yeast-bread to make at home. It has a crisp outside and soft inside, and is perfect to serve with dinner, soups, stews, or even sliced in half and used for sandwiches.
