Have eggs ready in a bowl, and set aside where it will be within reach. Using a whisk, combine milk, sugar and cornstarch in a medium saucepan over medium heat on stovetop. Allow milk to scald (heat to the point when tiny bubbles form around edges of pan). Whisk occasionally to prevent cornstarch from clumping on bottom edges of pan.

The ingredients needed to make Vanilla custard:
  1. Prepare 1 cup sugar
  2. Make ready 1 kg milk
  3. Prepare Custard powder 5 tblspn
  4. Prepare 4 drops Vanilla Essense

Add the bean pods and milk to the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Slowly whisk into the egg mixture. Immediately force custard through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl and stir in butter and vanilla.

Instructions to make Vanilla custard:
  1. Add custard powder in some milk and mix it
  2. Boil the milk
  3. Add sugar in it
  4. Add vanilla Essense then add custard powder and continuesly stirring it on low flame for 7 to 10 mint until it thicker
  5. Let's cool it and then refrigerat it
  6. Your custard is ready severe it

Slowly whisk into the egg mixture. Immediately force custard through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl and stir in butter and vanilla. To cool the custard mixture, I float the mixing bowl in a larger bowl with some ice water. If you want to make ice cream cones with the leftover egg whites, here's a great recipe from Chef John. Simple ingredients, milk, cream, egg yolks, vanilla and sugar and a lot of whisking will result in a sweet, velvety thickened cream - a custard - that can be eaten on its own or served over top of just about anything, from berries to pancakes.
