The ingredients needed to make Beef Stroganoff:
  1. Get 500 grams Sirlion, cut into strips
  2. Take 3 tbsp oil
  3. Take 3 tbsp brandy
  4. Make ready 50 grams butter
  5. Prepare 1 onion finely chopped
  6. Get 225 grams chestnut mushrooms, thinly sliced
  7. Take 1 tsp paprika
  8. Get 284 ml soured cream
  9. Get 1 juice of lemon
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  11. Get 1 Salt & Black Pepper
Instructions to make Beef Stroganoff:
  1. Season the beef. Heat the oil in a frying pan until very hot. Add the beef strips and fry briskly over a high heat until lightly browned.
  2. Pour in the brandy and bubble until the liquid has evaporated. Transfer the beef to a plate.
  3. Melt half of the butter in the pan, add the onion and fry for 3 - 4 minutes until soft. Add the remaining butter, the mushrooms and paprika and fry gently for 5 minutes until tender. Remove from pan and transfer to a plate.
  4. Pour the soured cream into the pan and heat through. Return the beef, onions and mushrooms to the pan and bring to a simmer. Simmer gently for 5 minutes until thick andcreamy.
  5. Add the lemon juice and cook for 1 - 2 minutes. Season and serve sprinkled with chopped fresh parsley
