It is made easy now by making it in Instant pot. No cream, no condensed milk, just rice, milk, and sugar. Turn on your instant pot to sauté and put the half cup water.

Instructions to make Rice pudding/Kheer in instant pot:
  1. Wash the rice and soak for half an hour. - Add all the ingredients in the IP and mix well. Cover and set it on porridge. Should take 20 minutes. Once done let it cool and the pressure released naturally. Open the lid and mix well. Add 1 teaspoon of ghee and mix well. Transfer in a serving bowl. Enjoy.
