  2. Take White Sugar
  3. Get Full cream Milk

Put the rice and sugar in an ovenproof dish. Strain the milk over the rice, discarding the vanilla pod Add the spices and stir to mix, then dot the surface with butter. Bring milk to a simmer in a saucepan. Pour the milk and rice mixture into the ovenproof dish.

  4. Put the dish in to a fan assisted oven to a heat of 150.C. Stir after 15 minutes and continue to cook for a further 60 mins. Check often there after and remove when it has a skin that’s lightly browned. Serve with either treacle or jam… or maybe enjoy it alone.

Bring milk to a simmer in a saucepan. Pour the milk and rice mixture into the ovenproof dish. Top with the knob of butter and sprinkle with nutmeg to taste. Stir the pudding halfway through baking.
