The ingredients needed to make Steamed dumplings:
  1. Prepare 1 cup rice flour
  2. Prepare 1 1/2 cup water
  3. Take 1 cup gram dal
  4. Make ready 3/4 cup jaggery syrup
  5. Get 3/4 cup coconut grated
  6. Take 2 tsp cardamom powder
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp oil

If you boil, add some oil to the water and don't overcrowd the pan–make them in batches. If you like, you can fry the dumplings in a skillet or wok to brown them before serving. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. In a large bowl, combine the pork, ginger, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg and cabbage.

Instructions to make Steamed dumplings:
  1. First the dough: In a vessel, take 11/2 cups of water and bring it to boil. Add salt to taste and 1 tbsp oil and the water is rolling boil, add 1 cup rice flour and mix well without forming lumps to form a soft dough. Then knead well.
  2. For the stuffing: Pressure cook the dhal to become soft and tender. Prepare a thick jaggery syrup. Grate the coconut. Mix the above 3 items to form a mixture.
  3. Make small balls, flatten it, stuff it with the stuffing and make it in the structure as shown in the picture.
  4. Steam it for 10 minutes and steamed dumplings ready to serve!!!

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. In a large bowl, combine the pork, ginger, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg and cabbage. Turn the dumplings over, and pour the water over them. Steamed dumplings (蒸饺): steamed dumplings are less famous compared with the two types above. In China, they are mainly served as side dish, dim sum or breakfast.
